Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question we didn't cover?

Call (442) 599-4593 or email kevin@deserttrashbinsanitizing.com and we'll get you an answer.

  • How does the service work?

Leave your bins at the curb on your regular trash day. After your hauler empties them, we come by, clean and sanitize them, deodorize them, and set them back where they were.

  • Do I need to be home?

No. As long as your bins are out at the curb and we can get to them, we'll take care of it and be gone before you know we were there.

  • What if I forget to leave my bins out?

We'll do our best to reach you. If we can't get to your cans on your scheduled day, we'll work with you on rescheduling.

  • How often should I have my bins cleaned?

Most customers go monthly, especially through the summer when desert heat makes odors worse fast. Quarterly works fine if your bins sit in the shade or you don't throw out much wet trash.

  • Do you clean the outside of the bin too?

Yes. Inside, outside, and the lid. Then we deodorize before the can goes back.

  • What do you clean with?

Eco-friendly products that are safe for homes and the environment. Nothing harsh going down your driveway or into your landscaping.

  • Do you clean recycling bins?

Yes. Recycling and green waste cans get the same treatment as your trash can. Just add them when you sign up.

  • What if it rains on my scheduled day?

Rain is rarely an issue out here, but if the weather is bad enough that we can't work safely, we'll let you know and get you on the next available day.

  • Are there contracts?

No long-term contracts. Pick monthly, quarterly, or a one-time cleaning, and change it if your needs change.

  • What areas do you serve?

We serve homes across the Coachella Valley, including Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio, Coachella, Thousand Palms, Bermuda Dunes, and Thermal. Not sure if you're in range? Just ask.
